External Links Report

What the report shows

The External Links Report is a quick way to inspect where your pages send readers and whether those destinations support the page topic.

This is useful when you want to understand:

  • Where trust is being handed off
  • Whether links are relevant
  • Whether a page is pointing at too many destinations

How to use it

Use the report on pages that are already important to you. You do not need to audit everything at once.

Start with:

  • Homepage links
  • Product pages
  • Pages that should convert or educate

What to change

If the report looks noisy, cut or replace links that do not help the user understand the page.

Then keep the useful links:

  • Links that support the claim
  • Links that add proof
  • Links that lead to the next meaningful step
