CTA quality
CTA quality card standard
The CTA is the next click or next action. It should be short and direct.
A good CTA tells the user where to go.
CTA rule
A CTA should name the next smallest useful move, not the whole project.
CTA visible on the card
The live card shows the CTA as a clickable action. It can point to a dashboard view, file, prompt, page plan, or report.
Good versus weak examples
Good CTA examples:
- Open source analytics
- Review prompt gap
- Connect Search Console
- Open page brief
Weak CTA examples:
- Learn more
- Improve this
- Check everything
The weak examples fail because they do not tell the user where to start. A card can be important and still have a small CTA.
CLEA refinement
Ask CLEA to make the CTA smaller and more specific.
